Working at my LED matrix.
768 LEDs! 32×24 pixels. I want to write a 3D graphics demo.
There are electrical issues. The display drive did not work correctly and during 3 days I was not able to figure out what’s wrong.
So I removed all of the ICs + replaced with more advanced technology. I use a 16f59 microcontroller now for 16×6 LEDs, means I need 8 of them. 2 each on a carrier PCBs means I need 4 carrier PCBs.
I wired up one chip so far. And I want to test double buffering. I will use a smaller microntroller with hardware serial port for each carrier PCB. Means the display update can be fully asynchronous.
Today I want to light up one section of the matrix. I have write the C software from point zero.
18 MHz canned oscillator is used now. LED blinks 🙂
